		<description>Thanks for the comments Zack!  I was actually thinking that it was great that some MySQLers and PG guys would get to work more closely together - cross pollination is a wonderful thing, especially between two of my favorite Open Source projects.

		<description>We've always had a good relationship with the Postgres community and with Josh in particular.  So I don't think there will be any issues there.

We have incorporated an adaptive cache patch into 5.0.54 recently  and an earlier patch that InnoDB fixed for autoinc that both improve scalability immensely.

It has taken us longer than expected to review the google patches, but it is in progress.

Don't expect any changes regarding our support for all our favorite languages and platforms.  We're committed to PHP, Perly, Python, Ruby, C++, VB, Linux, Windows, Mac OS/X etc.
